I was travelling a lot during last week, therefore I was not able to work on my illustrations as much as I wanted to. So today just some flowery doodles before my next trip tomorrow.
I was extremely honoured to design covers for a new edition of Stanislaw Baranczak essays. Unfortunately the author and editor wanted something less flamboyant, more delicate, much simpler - so not quite in the style I have introduced. However I am still satisfied with the design (the name of the author was formed like a logo) and pictures which were created for the cover with the use of iconic Polish posters from the 50s and 60, courtesy of Mr Dydo Poster Gallery in Krakow.
These two soft pastels were my b-day gifts for children of my partner. I did not have any brilliant ideas for gifts for two very intelligent 6 year olds so I came up with these two friendly doggies. I enlarged a detail of a white bullterrier - please click on the images to see them bigger.
P.S. The third soft pastel with a cat went to my parisian friend's daughter. I will try to make a reproduction of it when I am in Paris (somewhere in a very distant future).
P.S.2 The title of this post is not a spelling mistake. If you want to know why, have a look here!
